How to Set Up MergeIt AI

Follow this simple step-by-step guide to extract and launch your copilot, claim your license code, connect your free high-speed Groq API key, and configure real-time audio detection.

Download & Extract (Portable App)

MergeIt AI is completely portable. There is no heavy installer, no background telemetry, and no registry modification. It runs directly from any local directory.

1. Click the download button below to get MergeIt-AI-v1.0.zip.
2. Right-click the zip file and click "Extract All..." to any folder (e.g. Desktop).
3. Open the extracted folder and double-click Mirage.exe.

Sign In to Groq Cloud Visit console.groq.com/keys and log in with your Google or GitHub account.

Generate API Key Click the green "Create API Key" button. Enter any name (e.g. MergeIt) and click Submit.

Copy Your Secret Key Copy the generated key beginning with gsk_... to your clipboard. (Note: Groq displays it only once).

Paste into MergeIt AI Settings In the MergeIt AI HUD, click the Gear Icon (⚙️) in the top header. Paste your key into the Groq API Key field and click Save Changes.
That's it! MergeIt AI will immediately stream answers using your private Groq LPU engine.

Audio Loopback Configuration

Transcribing Interviewer Audio in Real Time

MergeIt AI captures audio using Windows audio loopback so it transcribes the voices of other meeting participants through your headphones or speakers.

One-Touch Toggle (Ctrl + L)

Press Ctrl + L or click the Audio / Loopback button in the HUD to start or pause listening.

Headphones & Meeting Audio

Ensure your meeting platform (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams) audio output device is set to your active headphones so MergeIt captures the interviewer's speech with zero echo.

Click-to-Solve

As questions are spoken, candidate chips appear in the left feed. Click any transcript chip or press Ctrl + Enter to stream the answer instantly.

Tip: Test by opening any YouTube technical interview and pressing Ctrl + L.
